Brothers

Cheyne, Private John Thomas died 17 May 1915 at Festubert and commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.

Cheyne, William died 11 April 1917 and commemorated on the Arras Memorial.

Cheyne, James died of wounds 6 April 1918 and is buried at St Sever Cemetery, Rouen.

Mackintosh

Sons of Finlay and Bella MacKintosh. In the 1911 Census they were living at Campbell’s Buildings, Kingussie.

MacKintosh, Private Duncan Alistair died 3 February 1941 and buried at Keren War Cemetery, Eritrea.

MacKintosh, Lance Corporal Angus Malcolm died 16 May 1944 and buried at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.

MacKintosh, Private Donald Ninian died 24 March 1945 and buried at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany.

Harrold, Private Sinclair Murray died 11 June 1944 Normandy.

Lobban

Son of Alexander and Mary Ann Lobban of Inshlea, King Street, Kingussie.

Lobban, Lance Corporal Alexander died 23 June 1940 at Armagh, Northern Ireland and buried at Lossiemouth Cemetery.

Lobban, Private John “Jack” died in South Africa 14 September 1943.

Macdonald

Sons of Jonathan and Jean Macdonald of Glengarry, East Terrace, Kingussie.

MacDonald, Sergeant James Andrew died 28 April 1917 at Arras and buried at Gueppe British Cemetery, Wancourt.

Macdonald, Private William John died of wounds 5 October 1915 at Loos and buried at Chocques Military Cemetery.

Maclean, Private Alistair Allan MacGillivary died 14 November 1914 at Ypres and commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres.

Maclean, Gunner Victor MacGillivray died 29 November 1917 at Ypres and buried at Ypres Town Cemetery Extension.

Finlay Ian MacLean, their brother, also enlisted but survived the War.
