Son of Jang Khan, and of Bodla, of Ali Sojal, Poonch, Kashmir and husband of Begum Jan, of Ali Sojal. On his death registration he is described as a Cultivator/ Driver. The rank of driver was that of a mule driver. He is shown as married but the name of his wife is not given. His date of date is given as 19th June 1943 and aged 35 years which is different from the CWGC information above. The cause of his death is given as cerebellar abscess 7 days, osteomyelitis of skull 1 month 14 days and pulmonary tuberculosis 2 months. His death was registered by Major W Parsons, S.M.O., Indian Contingent, Aviemore.
The inscriptions on the gravestone, in Arabic, reads “Ho Val Ghaffoor – He, the Forgiving One” and below from the Quran “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oon – Indeed we belong to Him (God) and Indeed we return to Him.”
