Son of Mir Zaman and Bivi Ji, of Merabala, Hazara, Pakistan and husband of Noor Jahan, of Merabala. His death registration shows him as a soldier/driver aged 26 and son of Bahadur Khan. He died from tuberculosis 4 months, peritonitis 5 days and his death was registered by Captain Hedge, Commanding Officer, 3 Mule Coy., Royal Indian Army Service Corps.
The inscriptions on the gravestone, in Arabic, reads “Ho Val Ghaffoor – He, the Forgiving One” and below from the Quran “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oon – Indeed we belong to Him (God) and Indeed we return to Him.”
