Son of Taj Ali and Hayat Bibi, of Chak Mehmda, Gujrat, Pakistan and husband of Begum. His rank as driver is that of a mule driver. On his death registration his usual residence is given as Chak Mehmda, Gujrat. His father Taj Ali is described as a cultivator. The cause of death is given as (a) tuberculosis meningitis 5 days (b) generalised tuberculosis 21 days (c) tuberculosis………..7 months. His death was registered by J.W.Parsons, Major, I.M.S., S.M.O., Indian Contingent, Dornoch.
The inscriptions on the gravestone, in Arabic, reads “Ho Val Ghaffoor – He, the Forgiving One” and below from the Quran “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oon – Indeed we belong to Him (God) and Indeed we return to Him.”
