He was son of Rahmat Khan, of Chak Pinana, Gujrat, Pakistan. His father, Rahmat was described as an agriculturalist. His name is shown as Karan on his death registration. He was single. His usual residence was given as the Distillery Camp, Knock, Grange. Cause of death is stated as internal injuries/accidental shock and the informant was Major A.V.Cowell, the Distillery, Knock, commanding officer of the deceased.

The inscriptions on the gravestone, in Arabic, reads “Ho Val Ghaffoor – He, the Forgiving One” and below from the Quran “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’oon – Indeed we belong to Him (God) and Indeed we return to Him.”
